      “Déixaas” is Mercedes Peón latest work –one of the best European albums in 2018, according to British magazine Songlines that refers to her as an emotively contemporary artist-. Her understanding of music is a great work of exploration and continuous movement. With a starting point rooted in the research of traditional sound, her work has made her a household name for a broad audience after two decades ago, the paths taken by Mercedes Peón are always inspiring. She’s a self-taught musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer of her own works and she has broad international recognition. In 2008, she received the Spanish National Music award and the 2018 Galician Music Critic’s Prize, Peón likes to join her sound creations together with cinema or dance. In “Déixaas” she enjoys the collaboration of Monica de Nut and Ana Fernández.

      El Petit de Cal Eril

      El Petit de Cal Eril is a music project promoted by Joan Pons deploying a style that balances from popular songs and acoustic folk-rock with a psychedelic touch. An entirely personal style we enjoy once again in his album “Triangular”, a trilogy launched at the end of 2017 where he merged with a band formed by Artur Tort (keyboard), Dani Comas (bass), Ildefons Alonso (drums), Jordi Matas (drums) and Joan Pons himself (voice and guitar). The same band is the one now supporting the album “Energia Fosca” launched in May 2019 and currently showcasing in different festivals such as Vida in Vilanova I la Geltrú and Sinsal SON Estrella Galicia. This composer and musician originally from Lleida is a reference in the Catalonian music scene nowadays with his delicate albums and very emotional live shows.

      Raül Refree is a key person in the Spanish music industry. Musician and producer of the album “Los Angeles” that launched Rosalía into the planet mainstream he had previously worked with other artists such as Silvia Pérez Cruz, Kiko Veneno or El Niño de Elche. He met Lina in Lisbon while she was performing at “Clube de fado” and soon they went into the recording studio. While surrounded by vintage synthesisers Refree frames the voice of the singer – a great scholar of Amalia Rodrigues from whom they selected a repertoire of classics – disregarding the traditional instruments of Fado. The result of this work is presented this summer in selected festivals such as Sinsal SON Estrella Galicia.

      Manu Blanco and Xoán “Palamera” Domínguez, two kids raised in Santiago de Compostela city where they met at the time they were “giving it all” for White Stripes found in Madrid the proper space to create “Promesas”, their first album. This work brings together Electronic music, trip hop, a hint of jazz and soul that according to the online magazine “El Quinto Beatle” is despite it all, closer to modern R&B of artists such as Daniel Caesar, Jorja Smith, Kyle Dion, Kali Uchis, IAMDDB or SZA. We are bringing the “urban beach” of Blanco Palamera to San Simón, fully convinced of this Project of “very young ones” as one of the most stimulant and original in the music from Galicia nowadays.

      Kyekyeku & Ghanalogue Highlife

      Kyekyeku & Ghanalogue Highlife is a band modernizing the vintage rhythms of the African country led by a virtuous guitar player. The band took part in the Vis a Vis festival organized every year by Casa Africa bringing Spanish music promoters to different places in Africa in order to introduce them to the music talents of the continent. The winning artists take part in some of the most well-known Spanish festivals such as Sinsal SON Estrella Galicia.

Festival Sinsal Son Estrella Galicia line-up is secret. Since its first edition in 2003, the main commitment of Sinsal is to schedule artists that are starting their musical career or that show a big connection with the contemporary creation. Artists that go around other prestigious Spanish and Portuguese festivals: from jazz to world music, from rock to electronic music, Sinsal SON Estrella Galicia is a festival without complexes. For this reason, it proposes to the audience a secret line-up, a musical experience beyond concrete names.
